| This picture started with a drawing of Sailor Moon. I took it into Photoshop and redrew the dress and shadowing over the existing image. I then took a scanned picture of a person's head and drew the arms and neck around it. The skin is a sand texture, blurred and put into the traced outline, the new texture was removed around the eyes, mouth, and nose of the picture. Then the hair was cut out, tinted blue by using variations on the highlights and midtones, and pasted over the head. The planet is a satellite image of Mars with a circular gradient applied to the mask to give it transparency around the edges. The background was created with a fractal generator and a standard lensflare underneath where the planet was pasted. The logo was generated with 3D Studio Max. The texture is a standard marble with large spherical mapping coordinates. |
